The Predator is a state-of-the
art, high performance tuning flash programmer
in a sleek handheld design. Once connected
to the vehicle, the Predators internal
computer recognizes the vehicles PCM
and automatically picks the proper tuning
files designed specifically for that
PCM. Unlike other 'tuners', DiabloSport's
programming is performed in very small
increments throughout the entire RPM
range, for a smoother, wider and a more
predictable power delivery. DiabloSport
engineers spend many hours on the dyno,
street and track to ensure the tunes
provided with the Predator are the best
they can be.
Dyno Tested Performance Tunes
The Predator was created
with one thing in mind, POWER!
Average power gains are
per tune. The Predators additional power
makes itself noticeable immediately
with an increase in power that starts
in the low RPMs and builds into a frenzy
at the high RPMs.
A Predator equipped vehicle
will notice significant improvements
in drivability. The additional power
and improved shift patterns created
by the Predator tune will yield quicker
acceleration and better mileage, whether
it is in town or out on the highway.
Shift on the fly tuning
The Predator will allow
end-user to change the tunes while drving,
the initial programming will take 10min,
once complete the Predator can be plugged
in anytime and tunes can be changed
on the fly.
Idle up feature
The Predator will allow
end-user to enable the factory idle
up feature where user can raise and
lower idle while in park using the cruise
control accel and decel buttons.(automatic
transmission only)
Tire size adjustment
The Predator will allow
end-user to correct speedometer for
aftermarket tire and wheel combinations
using the tire sidewall numbers or by
measuring the actual tire height.

DiabloSport Predator PC Interface Kit (optional)

(used to download updated programming for
the Diablo predator) What is the PC Interface
Kit? PC Interface Kit allows you to connect
your Predator to your PC. This is necessary
if you want to: *Update Predator software
revision * Export your Current Tune from predator
to your PC This is needed if you want a Custom
Tune to be created for your vehicle. *Upload
Custom Tunes into the Predator Custom Tunes
are available from your DiabloSport dealer.
*Ford vehicles only: Export the Live Data
Log from the Predator to PC in order to be
viewed using our free Windows DAT Viewer *Ford
vehicles only: Stream the Live Data while
driving from the Predator to laptop in order
to be viewed using our free Windows DAT Viewer.
What comes with the Kit? NOTE: If your PC
has only USB connector (doesn't have a DB9
serial connector), you will have to purchase
a commonly available Serial-to-USB adapter
(not included in the kit). The PC Interface
Kit contains a DiabloSport approved DB9 to
DB9 serial extension cable and a 12 Volt 1
Amp power supply. You can also use your own
cable and/or power supply, or buy them from
other sources: *The cable is a standard (straight-through)
serial cable, also called DB9 Male-Female
cable or DB9 9-wire Serial Cable Extension.
(Radio Shack part no: 26.117B) *In order to
power the Predator up at your desk, you will
also need a 12 Volt (1 Amp minimum) power
supply. The plug tip is 2.5mm x 5.5mm, female,
and center is positive. (Radio Shack part
no: 273-1776)

Soldering key components is a job best done
by highly qualified individuals and at DiabloSport
we feel that individuals are our best asset.
Quality inspection is a job shared by both
person and machine. Key connection spots are
checked via laser guided cameras to ensure proper
conductivity. The integrity of EVERY unit found
in our products is checked by quality control
inspectors, we don’t sample one or two
per batch here. Bench testing isn't enough either.
New tunes are tested in the field by authorized
DiabloSport beta testers and changes for increased
power or adjustability are instantly released
in downloadable updates via our website.
